For being eligible to apply for admission to the Program, the learner should have passed either B.Sc.IT. / B.Sc. C.S. /B. Voc.
SD/ B.Sc. Mathematics / B.Sc. Statistics / BCA / B. Tech./B.E. degree examination of this University or an equivalent degree of any other University with a minimum of 46 credits or its equivalent (i.e. the minimum credits required for majoring in a subject, and excluding the credits for optional courses) in the subject which he wants to offer for the M.Sc. degree program by papers provided the above candidate undergoes the proposed Bridge Course of 1 credit each in Mathematics, Statistics and It, each for a duration of 15 hours, satisfactorily.

• Students who have graduated majoring in Economics, with Econometrics as one of the Courses or students who have graduated in BAF/BMS/BBA/BFM/BBI/BCom Program of this University or any other University equivalent thereto will also be eligible for admission, provided they had passed Standard XII Board Examination with either Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects and undergoes the proposed Bridge Course of 1 credit each in Mathematics, Statistics and IT, each for a duration of 15 hours, satisfactorily AND
Provided further the candidates hold a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or GPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying Degree of BSc/ BCA/ B. Tech./B.E./ BA/ BAF/ BMS/ BBA/ BFM/ BBI/ BCom or equivalent will be eligible for this program provided he/she has scored not less than 60% in aggregate at the other threshold Examinations of Standard X and Standard XII.

following procedure shall be followed:-
A written test consisting of 2 papers as
under shall be administered in the
subject in which the student desires to
register for his M.A. degree.
(i) An essay paper in the subject
(ii) A paper to test the student's general
acquaintance with the subject.
The change of Faculty Test required to be
given by the students has been waived in
case of students who desire to register
with the Directorate of Distance
Education.
N.B. : Candidates shall be given a list of
books for period reading before they are
examined.

Master of Social Work(Social Work)(Autonomous College)

Candidates aspiring for the MSW Programme should have completed Graduation (10+2+3) from any of the UGC approved University in India or AIU approved foreign universities The minimum percentage for marks at the Graduation Course for eligibility to MSW

admission process is 50% (aggregate of all semesters) for General Category candidates: 45% (aggregate for all semesters) for the candidates from Roman Catholic (Minority), and SC, ST, OBC, NT, DT, and PWD.

Candidates from University of Mumbai are required to submit their final semester result of Undergraduate program to the College as soon as it is declared. If the candidate is declared failed by University of Mumbai, the admission of MSW program stands cancelled

The applications with final semester pending results from other university will be allowed for the written exams provided they agree to produce their results or confidential reports of the results from their respective University on the day of Entrance Exam and failing which candidates will not be allowed to appear for the same.

.The Candidates applying from University other than University of Mumbai have to follow eligibility process subscribed by the University of Mumbai.

MSW admission is based on:

a. Entrance Test (50 Marks)

b Group Discussion and Panel Interviews (50 Marks) College of Social Work (Autonomous) Nirmala Niketan Institute is a Catholic Christian Minority institution, affiliated to the University of Mumbai. As per the Judgement dated 12th October 2017 of the Honourable Bombay High Court vide Writ Petition No. 1726 of 2001. Minority Colleges do not need to set aside seats for Backward Classes. This is reiterated by the University of Mumbai Circular (No Aff/Recog.l/Admission/(2018-19)/10/of 2018), dated 30th May, 2018. Thus, 50% of the seats are reserved for Christian Minority students.
